Nurse Practitioners

A nurse practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse classified as a mid-level practitioner. A nurse practitioner is trained to assess patient needs, order and interpret diagnostic and laboratory tests, diagnose illness and disease, prescribe medication and formulate treatment plans.

Courtney Nason, AGPCNP-BC

Courtney attended Madonna University College of Nursing and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2012. As a Registered Nurse she worked at Troy Beaumont CPCU, Nursing Resource Pool. She returned to Madonna University College of Nursing where she received her Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN) certification in May 2018. Courtney joined Academic Cardiology Associate in November of 2018. Her office hours are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday’s at our Rochester Hills location.

Cindy Engle, AGPCNP-BC

Cindy attended the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2009. As a Registered Nurse she worked at Troy Beaumont Hospital in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit as well as the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. She attended the University of Michigan and received her Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (MSN) certification in April 2018. Cindy joined Academic Cardiology Associates in September 2019. Her office hours are Monday, Thursday, and Friday’s at our Rochester Hills location.
